Slumdog Millionaire!
though i have not much interest in movies i would like to get some inputs and comments from you people sitting out there.
as we all know that is a 2008 British Film directed by Danny Boyle, written by Simon Beaufoy, and co-directed in India by Loveleen Tandan.
we have heard enough of this movie from every part of the world that you can think off. though this entire movie is depicted on Our Indian Slum, do you really think that this movie should really deserve for what it is today. Even Mr.Rehman Said that the song was not even from his first 10 Favorites.
if i could stress a bit there are many movies which are produces by our very own Indian Directors on this very soil with a lot of enthu in it but they are never portrayed, if you simply think and try to calculate all the Indian movies make a lot of buck from the outside market and there are so many movies which are exceptionally good but not brought to the limelight. we had this movie which was produced my Amir Khan "Tera zameen Pe" which i found that it was really an outstanding one, it really had a very nice moral behind it if you could go back and ponder on the thought. the only thing was that it required a Danny Boyle instead of Amir Khan.
Here is the fact that i have heard from few of the people from different countries, thought they say that the movie is very nice they also do depict the picture of our country and many did say rather than ask that its very easy to move inside the airport locality. i did not find anything this exceptional in this one but the landmark on this country has really changed to those who are novice and have never visited the country, they might even think twice before entering the county if it is really worth paying a visit, whether it is really hygienic or NOT.

Globally India is known for variety of facts... Slum dog Millionaire shows one aspect of it...
There have been so many other movies in past which talk about India.. Cos they are not famous as this one, many people missed them. So it depends on how much publicity one get and how much people are interested to watch it....
And its not only about "WHO" is making the movie. I think it all depends on the publicity a movie gets. Bollywood is not a global culture yet, but yes, Hollywood is. If Taarein Jamin Par had a better publicity and a English Dub Version for the global audience, that could have made it more popular and who knows, Win an Oscor too....
I totally agree with you Jonzie,
Tare Zameen par lacked 2 things a UK based Director and Worldwide Publicity
Even if this is real INdia, how many of you and mean are really facing this ?
Hey Amol there are many facts which are unknown to us why?? since they are not publised, but to get a publicity as i said it requires a godfather from above to move forward. As far as 'WHO' making the movies does count and we have seen a live example of it! i would say that the indian movies are far far better than any russel Peter's talk show which is senseless!!
